Basin Elementary uses curriculum materials that are aligned to the Idaho State Achievement Standards. The elementary uses the following programs in the core subject areas. Additional supplemental resources are used in conjunction with these programs to better meet the individual needs of students.

Core Reading Program:

• Kindergarten through Sixth Grade--Houghton Mifflin Nation’s Choice Reading Series

 

Core Math Program:

• Kindergarten through Third Grade—Saxon Mathematics

• Fourth through Sixth Grade—Houghton Mifflin Mathematics

 

Core Social Studies

• Kindergarten through Sixth Grade--Teachers use a variety of materials to cover the standards for their grade levels.

• Fourth Grade-- Rendezvous with Idaho for Idaho History.

 

Core Science

• Teachers use a variety of materials to cover their grade level standards and provide students with rich learning experiences using a hands-on inquiry based approach that mirrors the work of real scientists.
